How to Install IPTV on Firestick in 2026 (Step-by-Step Guide)

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING: The Fire TV Stick 4K Select will NOT work for installing TiviMate or any IPTV apps. It uses a locked-down Vega OS. Use instead: Fire TV Stick 4K, 4K Max, or older models.

Prerequisites Before Starting

  • Complete these steps before purchasing your 48-hour trial.
  • Stable Wi-Fi connection and working remote.
  • Developer Mode is required – without it, you cannot sideload apps.

Step 1: Basic Firestick Setup

  1. Plug the Firestick into an HDMI port and connect the power cable.
  2. Switch your TV to the correct HDMI input.
  3. Follow the on-screen setup (language, Wi-Fi, Amazon account login).
  4. Check for software updates: Settings → My Fire TV → About → Check for Updates.

Step 2: Enable Developer Options

Note: On older Firesticks, Developer Options may already be visible. If not, follow these steps:

  1. From the home screen, go to Settings (gear icon) → My Fire TV.
  2. Select About.
  3. Highlight your Fire TV Stick device name.
  4. Press the center/select button on your remote 7 times quickly.
  5. You should see “You are now a developer!”
  6. Go back one screen – Developer Options should now appear.

Troubleshooting: If Developer Options still doesn’t appear, restart your Firestick and repeat the process.

Step 3: Allow Apps from Unknown Sources

  1. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options.
  2. Turn ON “Apps from Unknown Sources” (or enable it for Downloader).

Step 4: Install Downloader App

  1. Go to Find → Search.
  2. Type “Downloader” and install the orange icon version by AFTVnews.
  3. Open the Downloader app.

Step 5: Install TiviMate

  1. In Downloader, click the URL field at the top.
  2. Type or paste exactly: https://apk.st/CMEUZ Important: This link is case sensitive. Capital letters in “CMEUZ” must be exact.
  3. Click Go → Download → Install → Open.

Step 6: Add Your IPTV Login

  1. When TiviMate opens for the first time, it will automatically ask you to Add Playlist or Add New User.
  2. Select Add Playlist (or Xtream Codes API if available).
  3. Enter your StreamSurfers login details:
    • Username
    • Password (These are sent to you right after purchase)
  4. Save and wait for the channels to load.
  5. Test several channels to make sure everything works.

Common Problems & Fixes

  • Buffering? Install a VPN from the Amazon Appstore and connect before streaming.
  • Download fails? Double-check the case-sensitive URL and restart the device.
  • Not enough storage? Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About → Storage (clear cache).
  • 4K Select model? Not compatible – use a different Firestick.
