Our own app, SurfPlayer, is for Android TV boxes, Android TV, Google TV and Firestick. To watch on a TV, we recommend the Onn 4K from Walmart (see how to set one up). On a Linux box, use any player that supports Xtream Codes or M3U, with the details below.
Have an Android phone or tablet? Get our new phone app, SurfPlayer Mobile, at streamsurfers.net/mobile. It updates itself automatically, and you never lose your lists or favourites.
Here’s how to watch on a Linux box (a set-top box with its own built-in TV player), one small step at a time. You type in your details once.
Before you start, have these ready
• Your box, switched on and connected to the internet.
• The box’s remote. Use the arrows to move, the middle OK button to choose, and Back to go back.
• Your welcome email (or WhatsApp message) with your username and password. Writing them on paper makes it easier.
• Our server address: https://stream-surfers.net
• About 15 minutes when you won’t be rushed.
Part 1: Open the player or portal app
- Press the Home (or Menu) button on the box’s remote.
- Open the box’s TV player or portal app (each box names it differently, for example “IPTV”, “Portal” or “Player”).
- You don’t need a MAC address for this. If the app asks for portal type, choose Xtream Codes (or M3U URL).
Part 2: Add your StreamSurfers login
- Open the player app you installed. Look for a button such as Add playlist, Add user, Login or a + sign, and press OK on it.
- If it asks what kind of login, choose Xtream Codes (it may say Xtream Codes API or Xtream login).
- If there’s a box for a name or playlist name, type anything you like, for example StreamSurfers.
- In the Server box (it may say URL, Host or Portal), type https://stream-surfers.net exactly: no spaces, and with the colon and two slashes.
- In the Username box, type your username. Type it exactly as it appears in your welcome email. Capital letters and small letters matter, and there are no spaces.
- In the Password box, type your password the same careful way.
- Press OK on Add, Save, Login or Next (each app words it differently).
What you’ll see: the app loads your channels. The first time can take a minute or two. Then pick a channel and enjoy!
App only offers “M3U” or “playlist URL”? Use the M3U playlist link in Your connection details further down this page, and swap YOUR_USERNAME and YOUR_PASSWORD for your own. Xtream Codes is easier to type, so use it if you can.
If something goes wrong
- It says the login failed or the server is wrong. Check the server address is exactly https://stream-surfers.net (with a dash between “stream” and “surfers”), and check capital and small letters in your username and password.
- Forgot your username or password? WhatsApp us at 236-991-5203, email support@streamsurfers.net, or use our contact page, and we’ll send them again.
- Buffering? Restart your device and your internet router (unplug for 30 seconds). A wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi helps.
- MAG box? MAG boxes work differently: send us your box’s MAC address on WhatsApp (it’s on the sticker on the back), and we’ll activate it and send you the portal address to enter under Settings → Servers → Portals.
- Still stuck? WhatsApp us at 236-991-5203, email support@streamsurfers.net, or use our contact page. We’re happy to walk you through it.
Take your time. You can’t break anything by pressing the wrong button: just press Back and try again.
